Selmer Super Action 80II Alto Sax
MINT! This sax plays great and doesn’t have a scratch on it. It also comes in the original case, not a scratch on it either. I did some minor regulation. That’s all. A beautiful playing horn. It has a tremendous sound and plays well in tune with itself. You should see this sax.
Conn 8D Double French Horn
This is one of Conn’s most popular French Horns. Here are all the stats about this double horn: F/Bb, .468″ (11.89mm) bore, detachable bell, tapered rotors and bearings, fully mechanical change valve, adjustable levers, nickel silver, backpack style case. We have disassembled the instrument and Chemically Flushed it out. It is as clean as the day it was made. I have included a Schilke 27 mouthpiece with it. These horns, new, have a list price of $5800.00. I have seen them sell for $3900.00. So, a horn in great condition, like this one, for $3300.00….what else can I say?!? Come by the shop and give it a try. Bring your own mouthpiece or use the one that comes with it. Now, even better, it’s on sale. No longer $3300.00. Now $3100.00.
Yamaha “YAS-475″ Alto Sax
I enjoyed playing this sax today after repairing it. It had a very focused, rich sound. Similar to that of a more expensive, professional horn. The design of this instrument is based on Yamaha’s high-end saxophones. For example:
- silicon treated leather pads
- Yamaha model 62 saxophone-style neck (professional model horn)
- tilting-style low Bb spatula key
- left pinky keys have been redesigned for comfort & response
- adjustable right hand thumb rest
- engraved side key guard
- high F alternating fingering key with teardrop shape
You have got to try this horn!
Holton “T602″ Trumpet
If you are looking for an economically priced, good playing trumpet, well, here it is. This horn is in very good condition. Obviously someone took care of it. We Chemically Cleaned it, changed all valve felts & the water key corks and sterilized the mouthpiece. The mouthpiece is a Holton 7C. Exactly the right one for a beginner. The case is a nice, compact SKB case that includes a shoulder strap. Good horn, solid case and a great price.
Yamaha “YSL-354″ Trombone
This particular model of Yamaha is the primary student model trombone that I carry. Why? I’m sure you are asking yourself that. Well, here’s why……they are really good quality, good playing instruments. We have cleaned the horn, the case and the mouthpiece. It comes with everything you need to get started.
Yamaha “YSL-354″ Trombone
The YSL354 is the perfect student horn. The trombone features a .500″ bore for smooth and easy tone production. It also has an 8″ yellow brass bell. This improves the resonance (sound) of the horn. We have Chemically Cleaned it inside and out. The original case is in great shape and clean as a whistle. Plus, a mouthpiece is included. New, this horn retails for over $1000.00! Obviously $549.00 is a deal for a horn of this caliber.
Yamaha “YTS-23″ Tenor Sax
This is a super clean Yamaha Tenor. A quality instrument. It is one of the most recommended tenor saxes by music educators. Both the horn and the case are in very good condition. Of course, we disassembled the horn and cleaned it. After reassembling, it was completely regulated. I think the horn plays very well. Included with this horn: a neck strap, ligature, mouthpiece cap, a lyre, a brand new mouthpiece, 1 new reed and a new tube of cork grease. This is everything you need to start playing in any band. Plus, this sax is on sale. Previously priced at $1450.00, now take $200.00 off.
Evette “Master Model” Clarinet
This is an Evette Master Model, Professional, Wooden Bb Clarinet made by Buffet Crampon. During the normal construction of the R-13 Pro model, some clarinets would be excellent instruments, but for whatever reason some may not quite meet aesthetic or tuning standards to be sold as an R-13. These instruments were labeled Evette Master Models, and are very nice instruments, far superior than the student or intermediate models sold under the Evette line, and are quite a deal for those that know about them. You can get a very high quality clarinet of comparable professional quality to the R13, but without the R13 Price. Buffet is known for making some of the best clarinets available, and this instrument is no exception. This instrument has been completely overhauled, which means it was completely disassembled and washed. All metal parts were buffed. We “bore oiled” the wood. “Bore oil” is the oil used to keep grenadilla wood supple and crack free. Next we changed all the key corks, tenon corks and all the pads. This instrument plays and looks like it was new. Here is what is included with the instrument: mouthpiece, a brand new case, a new #2 Rico reed and a new tube of cork grease. You must play this clarinet.
Yamaha YEP-321S Euphonium
You will get years of playing with this horn. We completely disassembled it, Chemically Flushed, all new corks & felts and we installed four new valves. It plays like a new horn. The list price, new, for this horn is $2800.00! You can probably find a new one for as little as $1850.00. So, a used YEP-321S, with all new valves, that plays like new, selling for $1349.00 will be hard to find. Come take a look. This one is also on sale. Take $150.00 off the normal price.
Yamaha "YEP-201" Euphonium
I rarely use the word “MINT” to describe the condition of a used instrument. However, this is the exact word to describe this spectacular euphonium. Both the horn and the case are without a scratch. The horn was still in the factory plastic wrapping when I first saw it. We Flushed & Lubed the horn, not that it needed it, but we always clean out an instrument before we put it up for sale. Speaking of “SALE”, this horn is on “SALE”. It was priced at $1299.00 but now it is $1149.00.
Yamaha "YHR-314" Single French Horn
A great beginning French Horn. As usual we have disassembled the instrument and Chemically Flushed it out, restrung it and de-dented throughout. A mouthpiece is included. It plays like a new horn. The MSRP, new, for this French Horn is over $2700.00. They can be found for around $1900.00. Consequentially, an instrument in this great condition, for this great price is a real deal.
Yamaha “YTR-2335″ Trumpet
These Yamaha YTR-2335′s are excellent student horns. This one is as good as new. Why? Because all three valves have been replaced. The valves are the parts that wear the most. Obviously with three new valves this horn has many years of playtime ahead of it. Plus, as always we have cleaned out the horn. All valve felts and water key corks have been replaced. I have included a new Yamaha mouthpiece, a $49.50 value. This is the same mouthpiece that it comes with from the factory. Absolutely a tremendous deal.
Yamaha YTS-200AD Tenor Sax – SOLD
Here is an outstanding student model tenor sax. Great starter horn for a beginning student. It feels good in your hands. Of course, being a Yamaha, it sounds great and plays well in tune with itself. All the pads look like new. Brand new, these horns list for $2100.00 to $2300.00. You can probably find one for $1800.00, new. However, to find a used tenor that looks as good as a new horn for $1295.00……. this is a tremendous deal. Come try out this horn. It plays great.

NEW PRICE! Just completely repadded. It plays and looks like a brand new instrument. This piccolo needs nothing else. Open the case, put it together and play.
Yamaha "YFL-385II" Flute
This is a flute for an intermediate or advanced player. It is an open-hole flute with in-line G keys and a low B foot joint. The headjoint is an important factor in determining the tone. The 385 Series flutes feature a headjoint of 92.5% pure sterling silver, and a nickel silver body and foot joint for a dark warm tone. The instrument has been cleaned and fully adjusted. A beautiful sounding flute.
Yamaha "YFL-221" Flute – SOLD
A spectacular silver plated flute for a beginning student. We repadded it on 6/2/11. This means it was disassembled, cleaned, all pads replaced and tuning cork replaced. It looks great and plays like a brand new flute. I have included a tuning/cleaning rod. Plus, it comes in a Pro-Tec case. Come see this flute!
Yamaha "YCL-450" Clarinet – SOLD
I think this is one of the best playing intermediate model clarinets made. Great tone quality, it feels good in your hands and easy to work on. Being a musical instrument repairman I think that is important. Student model clarinets are plastic. This is a grenadilla wood instrument. That is the type of wood which is used to make better quality clarinets. The keys are made of nickel-silver. Also a step-up from brass keys that are nickel plated on student model horns. We completely overhauled this instrument, meaning, 1) completely disassembled & washed 2) keys & posts were buffed 3) all pads were changed 4) all corks were replaced 5) completely regulated & adjusted. It plays and looks like a brand new instrument. It comes in its original case. Plus, I have included 2 new reeds and a new tube of cork grease. This instrument lists for $1429.00 new. I have seen them sell for as little as $1024.00 new. I also have seen them sell refurbished, the same way we overhaul them, for $900.00. It will be difficult to find a horn of this caliber and in perfect playing condition for $649.00!
Yamaha "YAS-52" Alto Sax – SOLD
The YAS-52 is considered an intermediate saxophone. However, many people consider this horn better playing and sounding than many pro-model saxes. This means you could use this sax from middle school all the way through college and beyond. I just finished repadding this horn (4/24/11). This is a great playing sax.
Yamaha "YAS-52" Alto Sax
A great step-up horn for any sax student. We disassembled the sax, cleaned it and completely regulated it. I could go on and on about what a spectacular instrument this is. However, the proof is in the playing, not the pudding. This sax plays really well. On top of playing well, this Yamaha 52 is on sale for the Christmas holiday. Previously priced at $1550.00…….the Christmas Sale price is $1395.00. These horns fit very well under any Christmas tree.
Yamaha "YAS-23" Alto Sax – SOLD

Also, previously priced at $825.00, this great playing horn is now priced at $749.00. Sale, Sale, Sale!
Yamaha “YTR-2335″ Trumpet
The perfect trumpet for the beginning student. I can not say enough about the sound quality and durability of Yamaha instruments. This horn is no exception. It is in great condition. Like always, we completely disassemble the instrument and clean it, inside and out. Valve felts are changed, water key corks are changed and the mouthpiece is sanitized. The case is also cleaned, inside and out. In the final analysis you have an instrument that plays as good as a new trumpet, looks good and costs tremendously less than a new horn. Come take a look.
Yamaha “YCL-250″ Clarinet
The perfect clarinet for the beginning band student. Well made and sounds great! Plus the layout of the keys is specifically designed for young/new players. Even though this clarinet looked brand new when we received it, we still disassembled and cleaned it. Then it was regulated to make it play like a new horn. We cleaned/sterilized the mouthpiece. I also include a new tube of cork grease and a new #2 reed to get you started. This is everything a student needs to get started in band.
Selmer "SS600" Soprano Sax
The Selmer SS600 soprano saxophone is an excellent instrument. It features a one-piece body and neck design (no interchangeable necks), high F# key, leather pads with metal resonators, and clear lacquer finish. The SS600 comes with a mouthpiece, ligature, mouthpiece cap and carrying case. The MSRP of this instrument is $1645.00. So, $850.00 is a steal for a soprano that plays perfectly and is cosmetically great.
Selmer "1400" Clarinet
Perfect for this time of the year. A Selmer Clarinet. It is a plastic instrument, which is what you want for the beginning student. As of today, 6/9/11, it was Completely Repadded, meaning, 1) disassembled and cleaned, 2) all metal parts were buffed, 3) completely adjusted & regulated. I’ve also included a mouthpiece, ligature & mouthpiece cap, a new tube of cork grease and a new reed to get you started.
Selmer “Mark VI” Tenor Sax
This is a 1968 Selmer Mark VI Tenor! Nothing else is quite like a Mark VI. The serial number is #M158***. It is all original lacquer. Considering that it is a 43 year old horn, the lacquer is in great shape. I just repadded it on 6/1/11 using Roo pads with original style Selmer resonators. I like the way this horn plays! I’ve consistently seen horns of this era sell for $7000.00 or more. This Mark VI comes in its original hard shell case with keys for the case latch locks. Come by the shop and try this saxophone. It was priced at $6595.00. Now it is on sale for $5900.00!

Keilwerth "ST-90" Soprano Sax
A great playing soprano. New, the MSRP for this horn is over $1800.00. There are four companies that make great saxes: Keilwerth, Selmer, Yamaha and Yanagisawa. This horn has a big, rich sound. I enjoyed playing this sax. We disassembled and cleaned it inside and out then I completely regulated it. The horn looks like it’s new. The case is in perfect condition. Plus, I have included a Selmer C* mouthpiece. The mouthpiece, alone, lists for $200.00, new! This soprano is ready to be used on a gig. Come give it a try.
Jupiter JCL-931 Clarinet
I found a tremendous intermediate model clarinet that sounds great. The whole horn is made of well seasoned grenadilla wood with nickel plated keys. Also included is an adjustable thumb rest and a French case with case cover. Those are features that are normally seen on “step-up model” horns, which this is. Of course, we do our customary cleaning, regulating and oiling of the grenadilla wood. A Jupiter mouthpiece is included. Frankly, the clarinet looks unused. Come take a look. It is on sale for the month of December. Was priced at $699.00. Now it is $529.00.
Gordet Oboe – SOLD
Gordet, pronounced GORE-DAY. It’s a French thing. A very nicely maintained horn. It was made in the late 60′s. The well seasoned grenadilla wood is without cracks. I completely overhauled the oboe. First, I treated the wood with bore oil. That keeps the wood supple and insures a crack free life. Second, we buffed all the silver plated keys and posts. Third, I replaced all the pads with cork pads. Cork pads are more durable and more expensive than felt pads. Consequently, you will get many years of play time from this horn without need of repair. This oboe has a full Conservatory fingering system which includes left hand C – D trills, an F resonance mechanism, articulated low B-C#, “split ring” D, Ab – Bb right hand trills and more. The original carrying case is included. It is in great condition. Come play this instrument. You will be impressed.
Gemeinhardt "3B Ltd" Flute
The French key mechanism (open hole keys), B footjoint, gold plated lip plate, silver headjoint and body of the “3B Ltd” offer specifications and features many teachers recommend as the ideal step-up flute for advancing musicians. The B footjoint provides a longer tube allowing a greater resonance in the flute, as well as providing flutists opportunities to utilize alternate fingerings for greater facility in the upper register. For the first time player of an open hole flute I have included a set of key plugs. Here is another instrument that is on sale for Christmas. The price was $795.00. Now it is priced at $695.00.
Flute Lamp
You too could own a Bundy Flute lamp. The base is made of soapstone that has been polished to a smooth finish. Then I sealed the base to give it an even smoother finish. It comes with a vintage shade and a brass finial. Very unique!
Conn "6D" Double French Horn – SOLD
A Conn “6D” is a tremendous horn for any French Horn player. It has a .468″ (11.89mm) bore, 12″ (305mm) bell, lacquered brass, nickel outer slides, tapered rotors and bearings and lacquer finish. One of the best values in the double horn market. As with all our brass instruments we Chemically Flushed out the horn, all slides lubed and all rotors have been restrung. $1995.00 is a deal for an instrument of this caliber.
Bundy Bass Clarinet
Here is a hard to find item at a great price. A Bundy Bb Bass Clarinet. I repadded this horn on 12/23/10. A repad consists of 1) complete disassembly and everything washed, 2) all new pads and 3) complete regulation and adjustment. This means it will be a long while before anything will need to be changed, straightened or adjusted. This instrument also comes with a Ridenour mouthpiece and a Rovner ligature. That is an upgrade from a student model mouthpiece and ligature. As always, I include 2 new reeds and a new cork grease.
Buffet R13 Bb Clarinet
This Buffet R13 was made in 1971. It comes in an almost new Buffet leather case. A Vandoren B45 mouthpiece is included. We have done a bit of work to this horn to get it ready to play. The upper joint has all cork pads. They will last noticeably longer than felt pads. This will reduce your maintenance cost. If you are considering an upgrade from your student model or mid-line instrument this is your answer.
Here is a bit of history regarding the Buffet R13. The R13 series was developed in 1955 under the guidance of Robert Carrée. The R13 clarinet quickly became the legendary choice of professional musicians. Musicians are charmed by its rich and focused sound, its power in all registers and its flexibility. The R13 is suitable for all types of musician, symphony or chamber music, soloists, teachers, those in marching bands, students and amateurs.
Bach "Omega" Trombone
The Bach Omega was a limited-edition trombone sold to selected Bach dealers. It was an intermediate model like the present Bach TB200B (.525 bore with F attachment), but with fancy engraving and a few features found on the Bach Stradivarius 36B. This is an excellent choice for an intermediate trombone, especially at this price. The case is in great condition. Plus, a Bach 6 1/2AL mouthpiece is included.
Buffet “B-12″ Clarinet
The Buffet-B-12 is with out a doubt one of the best ABS resin student clarinets on the market. Known for their accurate intonation, pleasing tone quality and durable construction, the B-12 has led the field for years. The B-12 is crafted with the same details as the professional models- Undercut Tone Holes, Power-Forged Nickel Plated Keys. I always strive to find instruments that look as good as new. This clarinet certainly does. It comes in the Buffet manufactures box and with all the original literature. This clarinet will work well for a student from middle school through high school.
Artley "19Q" Oboe
This oboe has the basic conservatory fingering system to low Bb and composition body with woodgrain finish. It also has left hand C-D trills and silver plated keys which are a bonus at this level. A sturdy hardshell case is included. Additionally, this oboe is padded with all cork pads. They are tremendously more durable than traditional felt/fishskin pads.
Armstrong "104" Flute – SOLD
This is one of the “classic Armstrong 104′s”. I personally like the way these flutes play and sound. It is a student model, nickel plated instrument. As is usual with our smaller woodwinds we completely overhauled this instrument, meaning, 1) completely disassembled & washed 2) keys, posts and body were buffed 3) all pads were changed 4) all corks were replaced 5) completely regulated & adjusted. This is the perfect beginning flute. Come see it for yourself.
