  • Conn "Director" Cornet

Here we have a circa 1967 Conn “Director” cornet. This recently came into my possession and normally I would not put an older cornet like this on my website but, it actually plays pretty well. Of course, I completely disassembled it, cleaned it from top to bottom, raised a bunch of dents, straightened some tubing, replaced the valve felts & water key corks, oiled it and lubed it. If you’re looking for a “beater” instrument, then this could be your horn. It actually plays very well in tune with itself. It comes with its original Conn #4 mouthpiece and its original case, which is in good condition.

  • Yamaha "YTR-2335" Trumpet (Student Model)

This is an excellent instrument for a beginning trumpet player of any age. I just finished disassembling it, totally cleaning it and then reassembling it. The trumpet looks good and plays like a new instrument. A 7C mouthpiece is included, which is perfect for a new player, and the original case is in very good condition. By the way, the new version of this trumpet sells for over $1500.00. Give me a ring at the shop to come take a look at this horn and try it. Call 434-973-4299.

  • Yamaha "YTR-2335" Trumpet (Student Model)

Obviously, this is exactly the same model instrument as the previous photo. These are great horns for a beginner. This also comes with a 7C mouthpiece. The new version of this instrument is still over $1500.00 which means $575.00 is a great price for an instrument in like new condition.

  • 1988 Bach Strad. Trumpet, md 37 (Pro-model) with a Star on the bell

This trumpet is actually made circa 1988 - 1989. During this time period Bach was not very accurate about listing serial numbers and dates. Anyway, a great horn with excellent compression on the valves. I just finished disassembling it, cleaning it, replacing valve felts & water key corks plus oiling and lubing it. I also regulated the valves & hand polished it. This trumpet also has a 3rd slide trigger which is handy for keeping in tune those low D’s and G’s. It also comes in a compact double case in “case” you have a second horn. Oh, the Star on the bell means that the bell is a lightweight bell. This might give you a little more “sizzle” on those high notes. I just checked on prices of the newest version of this instrument and they are selling for $3400.00! So, $1900.00 for an instrument in great condition with a double case and case cover is a very good deal. Give me a call to come see this trumpet. 434-973-4299

    Price: $1900.00

  • Blessing "Artist" Flugelhorn (Student Model)

Smoother and way less bright that a trumpet is the beautiful sound of this flugelhorn. We did our standard disassemble and cleaning on this instrument then I regulated the valve height, oiled & lubed everything and now it’s ready to play.
