Trombones

  • Yamaha "YSL-354" Trombone (Student Model) - SOLD

This is a great student model trombone to start on. Any band director would be happy to see a student with this instrument. Of course, I disassembled the instrument and cleaned it within an inch of its life. I also did some alignment of the hand slide. All this means that it plays as good as it did when it was new. The New version of this horn sells for over $1500.00.

  • Bach "Liberty" Bass Trombone (Intermediate Model)

If you’re looking for a good “step-up” model trombone then this is it! Of course, I have disassembled the instrument and cleaned it inside and out, aligned the hand slide and lubed & oiled everything that needs to be lubed and oiled. This horn has a good size 8” bell and a bore size of .547. I think the hand slide itself seems to be identical to a Bach 42 slide. I have also seen several reviews that make the same claim. The Bach 42 is a dramatically more expensive instrument, so this means that you’re getting an upgraded instrument at a more reasonable price. The bell tubing is an open wrap design which most trombonists, particularly professional trombonists, say that the overall playability of an open wrap is better because the air flow through the horn is less restricted. The horn comes with a 6 1/2A mouthpiece and the original case which is in great condition. This means, a great trombone and a great price. • 1941 King "2-B" Trombone - SOLD

This instrument is in pristine condition. On top of that, the bell section is “solid sterling silver”. Most trombones from this era have a brass bell that has been silver plated, but not this one. Again, the bell is “solid sterling silver”. Both the hand slide and the valve section function perfectly. Of course, I have disassembled the horn and flushed out every inch of tubing so, it’s clean as a whistle. And whistles are known for their cleanliness. Also, the case, which is original, is pristine. Quite frankly, the horn looks like it has never been used.
